- are those fragrance sticks OK with birds?
i have 2 green parakeets and my mom is putting those fragrance sticks which has smoke coming out from them. are they OK for the birds?
A Nope, incense sticks are no good for birds. Any type of smoke irritates a bird's respiratory system, since birds basically breathe each breath five times through their 6 lungs or "air sacs." So the incense is at least 5 times stronger to your bird, who has to breathe it five times; plus when you take into account how small your bird is; even a little bit of that incense smoke can really do some damage.

How do the sticks inside the bottles of fragrant oil work exactly? I see them all around and I dont fully understand how they work.
A Okay you have the Fragrance in the bottle, you put the sticks in and they will saturate the sticks and thus comes the good smell. The sticks are wood so the oil will slowly soak into the wood.
