A When I read "pumpkin scented" I think pumpkin pie, so I'd go from there. I think you could take basic oil and let it steep for a week with a bag of pumpkin pie spice inside- just find yourself a cotton reusable tea bag or even a coffee filter gathered into a pouch and fill it with the spices you'd put in pumpkin pie- cinnamon, cloves, ginger and nutmeg. It might also be nice to use cinnamon sticks, whole cloves and nutmeg pods in the oil and just keep them there if it doesn't make the vase look too cluttered.

A cotton seed oil as a carrier and your favorite fragrance of essential oil. 1 oz fragrance to 3 oz carrier oil. You can go as much as 50/50 fragrance to carrier. If you go with a different scent than your original or if your sticks are saturated, get some reed kebob sticks from Walmart and cut off the sharp points with wire cutters.
