- Essential oil blending help - reed diffuser?
I am planning on making my own essential oil blends for my reed diffusers throughout my home. I am wondering what essential oils you suggest, what carrier oils, and blends, and if there's a better way to thin it out than with chemicals or vodka? I was thinking of using mineral oil since it is so thin and readily available, perhaps mixed with sweet almond oil. What do you think mixes the best? Also: I currently have a WoodWick diffuser in campfire scent, what combination of essential oils would give me a campfire smell? What's the max of different essential oils in one blend? Because I was thinking about doing a lemongrass, cilantro, peppermint, tea tree, thyme, Rosemary, and eucalyptus blend. Does this sound like it would blend well? Any other advice, or brand suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!
A Lemograss and eucalyptus oil is a perfect combination. Eucalyptus oil will not only give you amazing aroma but it will also keep the insects away.

i would like to duplicate a home fragrance for use in a reed diffuser. the scent is the Thymes "Gold Leaf" or Tyler Candle Co. "Gold Leaves". Both scents are similar in their scent description: a blend of smooth jasmine, hyacinth and creamy lily of the valley blossom on a background of oak moss and musk. can anyone help locating a source that duplicates this scent OR provide the essential oil ratios to duplicate on my own. thanks everyone. neither company sells the scent for reed diffusers. thanks Big Blue. well made points of which i appreciate and aware. i was hoping someone was familiar with the scent and found a close copy of pre-formulated/blended oils for purchase from a reputable website that sells such products. thanks for you input.
